Hey everyone I wanted all of you to be the first to see the cover of my new (and first) children's book.  I embarked on this publishing trail to enhance my programs - of course I now need a goat puppet to help me read the book!! It is soon to be released!!  I will keep all of you posted but just wanted you all to be the first to see the cover!!57351 Cliff the Goat title page

Congratulations on your book. Please let us know when and where it will be for sale. I would like this to add to the babies collection.
Will you be buying or making your goat puppet?

Thanks guys!!  I am pretty excited!  I am not a puppet maker myself so I will be buying a goat puppet but I have not decided for sure how I want to use the goat puppet in my presentation of the book.  I was thinking about getting the cute little Folkmanis goat and having a child actually hold the puppet and make goat sounds throughout the book as we go along.  It is written from the perspective of the little girl not the goat - so I am not quite sure how I am going to incorporate it.  ANY ideas from all you brilliant people will be greatly appreciated!  BTW - the book is based on all TRUE events that occurred at our household while we owned a little pygmy goat named Cliff the Goat!

Actually the talent ended before you got to the Illustrator - I have no artistic talent.  A little girl in my church illustrated it for me - she was drawing during church one morning and I asked her mom if she thought she would be interested and she said yes! She is going to be at my book signing to sign books too!
All those other things that you listed Daryl (vent, magician, puppeteer, author) can be learned by anyone!
It has been a fun journey -( My second book will be coming out later this year - my husband and I wrote it together - waiting on the illustrations being done by a friend of my son's.)

So wonderful! The story of the illustrations is terrific as well! And now, another book coming out. This is all just terrific! How do I place my order for a copy signed by author and illustrator?

I will let you all know when it comes out and if you want a signed copy you can order it from me - if you don't care to have it signed you can order it directly from the publisher.  I will make sure you have all the details!  Thanks!! icon_lol

Thats a great cover. Let us know when they can be purchased. Of course we'd probably all want an autographed copy.

Good luck with this book.
