I happen to get the following links for three old books
on puppetry. These can be downloaded in PDF form.

http://www.archive.org/details/manualofpuppetry017904mbp

http://www.archive.org/details/tonysargmarionet00mcis

http://ia301121.us.archive.org/2/items/bookofmarionette00jose/bookofmarionette00jose_bw.pdf

I have no idea if someone already suggested the links. I felt besides pattern even books are also a good
resource for puppet building.

Enjoy...

As a teenager I used to take the first book listed above out all the time (they didn't have much of a selection) I had slowly made it through it.  A little bit of a dry read but the pictures brought back all of these memories when I was looking at it on the computer.

Thanks for sharing the free books it is nice to view them.

Does anybody knows where I can find the Hansjurgen fettig´s books? I know they are no longer available, but maybe an old copy of it. Or maybe a PDF file. I´ve tried PoA and Ray Da Silva puppet books without a success.
Thanks all.

Bhanu thank you for sharing the books. I love them!

On a daily basis do a Google search for this book "to buy" and hopefully you will get a catch.  It will be around the price of $100.00 or more.  There really isn't a "place" to go to get it, it is a matter of luck and how quick you are at getting it.

Good luck with your search.

I downloaded and printed the Manual of Puppetry book, then took it downtown and had it bound.  It is from 1936, but there is a LOT of good stuff in there.  Just reading it gave me a lot of inspiration.

Is there anyone who knows where the foam book is to be downloaded? In Holland this is not to be found!

The Foam Book can't be downloaded for free. You have to purchase it: try Amazon.
