While visiting another web site I found a link to this article on CNN.com. It has some interesting factoids/trivia about the origins of some of our favorite puppets. Some of you may have already known most of these tidbits, but I found them fun and interesting.

Thanks Billy and Julie. Some of our members here could probably have written that article themselves, but I'm not the expert that they are so it was mostly new to me.

Thanks for posting it Ron.....however I found a lot of the information was speculation.....not to much on the concrete facts.....still a nice read. Wink

Yeah... I didn't see any references cited there either. Sometimes you have to wonder how much is lore, and how much is gospel truth.

This is great stuff. I actually found the clip when they introduced Telly Monster.  Its up on youtube if anyone wants to see it.

Did you know that a construction company in Virginia built the Muppet stage and shipped it to New York?  My wife's uncle was in that company.
