How cool is this? I was with a friend in Pittsburgh, and stumbled into a

Furries convention. It was so bizarre to see these characters strolling around in downtown Pittsburgh! We had a lot of fun meeting some very nice people and talking with them. I got interested in learning about making their costumes. This book could be my official Christmas list. BTW, Furries consider puppets to be a subset of furry fandom.

Got my book today and I recommend it very much. It covers everything from supplies needed to how to vacuum form mask. It has great tips on cutting and sewing different types of fur, the differences between foams and glue. It gives detailed instructions on how to construction mascot heads by carving foam or the wire method. It is a paperback spiral bound 208 pages but full of great information.

It's a great book. I used it to help me make a 7 foot bear for a local VBS. It does cover a lot and gives some very good starting steps. So when you going to make your first suit Billy?
