Hello everyone, i was thinking about using wool fabric for the hair of my next puppet. Have you ever worked with it, and if so did it work out well?

I Love working with wool for hair.................. I have primarily worked with wool yarn but I can see where wool cloth would make a interesting hair style. If you want dreads just cut the fabric ( I use wool felt) in thin strips and rub between your hands to get the fabric to rough up then place the strips in warm soapy water and the strips will shrink when dry . You can twist it around a pencil or dowel rod and do the same warm water with soap application but let it dry on the dowel rod. This will curl your hair pieces. The sky is the limit have fun with it.
You can use regular cotton fabric with white glue to stiffen the hair............... You can use jute cord and that paper twist cord as well. Let us know how it turns out. Some pictures of your process would be nice.
