Well I use a foam that my local foam supplier specifies as EVA Foam.  Perhaps that is what they are talking about.  It may also simply mean glue sticks. Smiley

What context was the term used in?  Where they talking about gluing the foam together or something else?

its used for the mouth plate, and my theory was that it was some kind of foam.

I believe that is just the craft foam you buy at Walmart or at craft stores.

I bet billy is right.  The Craft Foam or Fun Foam that you find at hobby stores is a type of EVA foam and it does work well for mouth plates

This one was a bit confusing to me at first.......but I just ordered a roll and now see the difference between Gaffers tape and duct tape. while both are cloth reinforced ........... Gaffers tape is a cotton fabric covered in a rubberized coating which makes it very durable. Duct tape has a tendency to hold for awhile and then start curling up at the edges over time.

Gaffers tape.......... used for theatrical purposes

Duct tape........... used in a industrial type purposes

Gaffers tape can be hard to find but is much better.  I have used duct tape on puppets though. Smiley
