I haven't seen this program in any post, so I thought I'd post about it. It's a free sculpting program that allows you to simply create sculptures on your computer. It has a few limits, like no print function, but you can create a full 3D figure with color, that can be rotated 360 degrees in all directions so you can view your creation from all directions. It will allow you to create a puppet on your computer so you can see if you like it's look before getting all your supplies. The link and download are here: http://www.pixologic.com/sculptris/.

I just downloaded something called googlesketch.  I think it may be similar but I haven't actually played with it yet.

I have Sketch Up from Google, it's a simple drawing program, more like a CAD program though. Sculpris is a full 3D modeling program, they have a more complete program, but it's not free. Sculpris allows you to sculpt virtual clay.
