Here is a prototype for a skull puppet that I am working on.. It will have several movements controlled by heavy duty servos.
I have the jaw movement done so far..
He is made out of Epoxy and fiberglass and he is about twice the size of a human skull.

I will hopefully be able to work out the rest of the animatronics soon.. I will be sure to update here! Any feedback or ideas are, as always - greatly appreciated!

GREAT! AWESOME! Are you going to do the animatronics by radio or wire?

Hi There!
Thanks for the kind comments. This is just a prototype - so it is just a test. Once I work out all of the kinks by hacking this one apart - I will do the final one.
One thing for sure - this one is too heavy; so I will be making the final one out of lighter materials..
In regards to the animatronics.. I will have the option of programming the servo movement (so I can just push a button and it will go through it's pre-puppeteered motions) OR have it controlled by a radio if a secondary puppeteer is present.
For another option for solo puppeteering, I may go with cable control - but again, I will have to work out all of the kinks and go from there!
I will be sure to keep y'all posted!
Later,
Damien
