Well, I think I'm going to reintroduce this thread. I'm happy that you were able to give everyone the ability to make comments on specific photos in the gallery, but with no ability to notify the owners of the photos it is rather difficult to get responses.

With a thread like this at least anyone that has commented will get notifications. Neither is a perfect solution but I think this way allows more for conversations to happen if people are interested.

Yes I agree.  Hopefully by next year I can make some changes. The version of Gallery that I am running right now is the older 2 version. I think the newer 3 version has more abilities.

You know what I might be able to do is put a link on the image page to this thread. Hmmm... have to look into the code some.

Ok we now have email notification for comments!  It is a bit confusing to activate but not to bad. Ok if you want to be notified of any comment made to any image then go to the main Gallery page. That would be the page you see when you click on the Gallery link at the top. Then in the left hand gallery box you should see a "Watch" link. It is the last one in the list of actions. Click on it and select the options and save. Make sure to select the "apply to sub items" box if you want to be notified of any comment.   If you want to just follow comments on your own gallery then go to your album and do the same thing.

I guess the big thing to remember is that depending on where you are in the Gallery determines what you are notified on.  This is actually true of many of the actions of Gallery. I often find that a bit confusing myself.
