Love it. What are the braces made from?

Thanks! This picture was before I picked all the seams so he isn't quite done, but getting there.
The braces are made out of the model magic clay. I just formed the shape and painted it with a silver acrylic paint. Once it was dry I took a pin and made holes through them and strung jewelry wire through it. I had to double up on the wire because it wasn't thick enough. In hind-site I would find a heavier gauge.

Yeah I have been calling him Eight Eyes but I am not sure that will be his final name. We'll see!

Cool! Looks like he would have lots of arguments with himself. How do you keep his glasses on?. I have had problems with that in the past. How are you going to use him? He looks like he'll be fun.

To keep his glasses on, I ultimately have them glued. However, the ears are hiding a wooden dowel that is going through his head. It gives the glasses something hard to rest on. I glued the ear pieces to the fleece and was able to hide it by the position of the ear. I also glued along the bridge of his nose. I thought about drilling a hole through the arms of the glasses and wiring them to the dowel, but the glue works.
I don't really use the puppets I make. I just like to make them. Eventually I figure something to do with them, but I am not a puppeteer. Just a goob who likes making things.

Well for a 'goob'(I am assuming it is not a derogatory title) you do a pretty fine job! Concerning the glasses, you would never know there was a dowel through the head. If the glasses are plastic I sometimes drill a small hole in the nose pads and the tips of the arms and stitch them to the head through those holes. It means you can take them off if you need to, by snipping the stitches. They look good on eight eyes, and I too love the braces. good job.

Good idea to stitch them on. I was able to hide the glue on this one, but other might not be as easy. And yes, goob is totally a term of endearment.
