I am trying to make a snowman puppet for the holiday season and I am having a hard time trying to come up with a body for him. I want to do one big ball for the body and i got the round head all set. Also any ideas for material to use? I was thinking white terry cloth with some clear sparkle paint.

Have you seem Swazzle's Frosty the Snowman tutorial from a few years ago?

the easiest thing to do would probably be to use a pattern to make a ball for the body.  I would suggest this one. http://puppetsandstuff.com/community/index.php?action=gallery&g2_itemId=8607

then for the body, White Antron fleece would make a beautiful snowman. it's soft and shiny.

I made a snowman and it was based on the wedge methods. I made the inner balls out of fabric and stuffed them then covered those in non pill fleece.

cool! i didn't know that pattern was on here! i ended up getting my wedge pattern from a crafting website- it was originally to make a fabric beach ball, but i knew it would work! that's what i used to make the kid's heads for their halloween costume puppets. Smiley grinning2
