Hey everyone! I just introduced myself in another thread, but wanted to say a big thank you to everyone on here. I read the forums before giving my first two puppets a go, and they were super helpful. I will have a ton of questions as I go along, so you have been warned!

Anyway, just wanted to share my first two puppets, and get any feedback I can.

I am in the Los Angeles area, so if anyone knows of any apprenticeships, could you please let me know? I would love to be able to learn from someone who does this professionally.

I have also posted these over at muppet central, so apologies to anyone who may have already seen these.

Thanks in advance for any advice or feedback!

They look great! It looks like maybe they are a cooking duo. Love the hair.

Love them! Do you use them for cooking classes?

Also, if you're interested in internships, I recommend the bulletin boards over at
http://www.puppeteers.org
I know there are often companies who post requests for interns there. Also try http://www.unima-usa.org

You're first puppets look great! You're off to a really wonderful start. Did you use a pattern? I only wish my first puppets looked anywhere near as well done as these!

Wow, thanks everyone!

I did use a pattern for Angel, and then just sort of "felt" my way around Dee. (Ba-dum-bum)

I did a blog post here, if you want to read my rambling, and a brief description of their backstory: http://lorisprojects.blogspot.com/2012/04/angel-food-and-devils-cake-quick.html

Thanks again for all the help. I know I didn't ask any questions, but I've been following posts in the forums for a couple of years, and the info everyone gave was super helpful!

Na -

Thanks for the links!

I had read the bulletin board previously, but I think I might just go ahead and post what I'm looking for. Thanks for the idea!
The Unima link isn't coming up for me on my laptop or my phone, but I will try again later. Much appreciation!

No problems - the site works for me, so do try again sometime.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to pop back into this thread to let everyone know that my two puppets are going to be the front window display for an art show here in LA!

The show starts Saturday night at Monkey House Toys in Los Angeles as part of the Just Desserts show. Please feel free to come by and give me feedback, talk shop, what have you.

Also, Creme Caramel LA will have a pop up booth, so bring cash if you want a sugar rush!

Thanks again for all the help everyone!  Event info is below...
