Not sure why we came up with plumbers putty as an alternative for the epoxy.  He was asking me and I have used the plumbers putty to kind of "glue" things but in this case I think the epoxy would work better.

Hey all thanks for the feedback and nice to see many of you still on and helping the puppet community.  I did use multi-purpose Epoxy.  Nothing more Nothing less.  I don't know why I (if i said it) Plumbers Puddy? I don't even have any nor ever owned any...maybe I was talking about a part that is a plumbing piece but did not know the name in the video at the time...but someone did let me know and I have updated that info into the video.

Great, great idea, you always do a wonderful job of explaining your techinque. I am definitly going to try this, I have mangled many hands trying to change shirts on puppets.  Thanks for sharing. We missed you.

I have some plumbers epoxy type product that had plumber's putty name on the label it was two solid clay like strips that you mix together to stick solid things together.  It is good with metals but liquid epoxy like you used would be better fit on fabric because this was dark colored more solid and would stain.  It did not work on plastics for me. But it does hold wooden dowel to metal arm rods and velcro to metal arm rods very well.

Yep that is the plumbers putty I am used to using Snail and I to have used it to join metal to wood.
