I have a customer who tried to dye reticulated foam with apple green rit dye, but the foam came out a dark tan.  Any ideas what might have happened?  I don't have details Of the process he used.  I've only have problems with color separation with powdered acid dye not rit, but I don't use it as much.

Was the foam white or the common pale yellow to start with? That is the only thing I can think is that they did not start with white foam.

You are probably right.  I forgot that type of foam comes in cream.  So obvious. LOL. I'll pass that along.
