Hello my friends im sorry Ive been absent for so long. First let me say that Becki is doing very well and although she unfortunately lost her ovaries to radiation and chemo she is managing. Thus far all her tests have come back with good news and her next isn't until July. So I decided to move forward with some of my projects now that I'm caught up and things seem to be getting back to normal.
A little over a year or so ago I tried to convenience the New Bern Civic Theater here locally to try its first ever puppet play. They were resistant and with Becki's health it was put on hold. Now that she is better the theater has asked me to do an original version of Frankenstein. Written by me from the novel and not a comedy but a drama with puppets! The theater is funding the money for the sets and of course providing the space. So I have started two different campaigns to try and raise money for cost of materials. The first one which ends the soonest is at a funding site called
www.indiegogo.com here is the link:
http://www.indiegogo.com/frankensteinNBCTThis one is good because no matter how much we raise we get to keep toward the project.
I was hoping if any of you are willing if you wouldn't mind giving this link to as many interested puppet people as you can. This area has never seen a puppet play and even the theater is advertising it as the first ever all puppet cast in its history. I really want to wow them and show the patrons puppets can be taken seriously!
The other funding source which doesn't end for a while is at
www.kickstarter.com the link to that one is here:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jaytyson/frankenstein?ref=searchId prefer to work on the first link as it gives us more options for funding but its such a short time I fear it may not happen. The money we raise is for fleece and foam. Although I have started building using my own supplies I don't have much left.
Here is a link to the video blog I started to document the play and film construction and progress.

Its lovely to see all of you again and always a breath of fresh air to come see everyone. I have finished almost 30 puppets that I will be posting up for all to see a little later. I have missed all of you and thank you again for all the support and words of encouragement from all of you!!
