Hello:

I will be conducting a blog tour in September to herald the launch of Hupdaditty, my new on-line project. I am looking for people who have puppet or arts related blogs who would like to host a date for the tour.

Blog tours can be lots of fun and mutually beneficial for all involved. It helps bloggers to meet and promote their own blogs while advertising an event. Web design clients of mine have used this idea with great success in the print and arts industries.

I hope you will consider joining in "The Hupdaditty TOO Cool for T.V. Blog Tour"

More details are available at http://www.hupdaditty.com/blog-tour/

Thank you!

Hmm... interesting concept. Like Na I had never heard of this so I did a bit of research on the idea. The first one I came across was this site that actually helps book authors organize a blog tour. http://www.blogtour.org/  From most of the sites I found this seems to be something that has been heavily targets towards book authors. http://www.novelpublicity.com/blog-tour/ http://yodiwan.com/2009/06/11/whats-a-book-blog-tour/

I don't see why other types of media should not take advantage of this idea.

Ah, I get it now... It's kind of what I thought.

I might be interested but am too busy at the moment to give it proper consideration. Will check back in next week when I have more time.

Yes, it has been mostly a book/author marketing model. But I agree with Shawn there's no reason it couldn't be adapted. An author client of mine has had GREAT success with it. Also, the hosts really seem to enjoy the networking and social aspect of hosting something different their blog. I like to think of it as a bit of a "win win."

I'm hoping to gather a mixed group of creative folks: puppeteers, authors, actors, creativity coaches, etc. so it could make for an interesting online gathering.

That's an interesting concept for creating some buzz and boosting SEO, I will have to look into it some more Smiley

Very cool idea.  What sort of time commitment is required?  I juggle my "free" time between family/day-job/puppetry.  Best o' luck with the tour!:)
