i am planning on building a commisioned monster type puppet.
very hairy- probably 3" pile.
i am thinking about ordering faux fur from Mendels, but i was just wondering who else you recommend?
i think i will send a note out to Out of the Box Puppets (unless she reads it here first!)

let me know, especially if you have had experience with ordering from different companies in the past.

   I sent you a reply to your email, the samples will be sent shortly. 
   As far as Meldels they have very nice furs.  I have not used the red in the Punky Muppet or in the Shaggy Mongolian, but I have used other colors in both those types.  They are excellent furs a higher quality than the shag, hence the price.

thanks! those are the same two links that Jon sent me, also. awesome. i like the looks of their fur and will be getting some samples from them, too. i look forward to getting your samples and it will be interesting to sit down to compare them all to see which one comes closest to the look i am going for.
