I have a hard time not to get overly jeallous with your projects. That short film really is adorable! But I have the same problem as last time: the links on the right side creep into your text so that the end of any line becomes gibberish at best. In case of videos on the side, the text is totally covered, to I didn't get to read it fully. I use firefox and tried the trick Shawn showed me, but this doesn't seem to work on this problem.

Sorry about the layout problems - I thought I'd fixed it! Sad
What size screen resolution were you using?

I will have to research. I am not firm with my new windows as yet. Learned most on 3.11, got familiar with 98 but here I am still baffled. I answer tonight or when I found out....

Just go to http://supportdetails.com/ and email me the info (puppetsinmelb AT gmail DOT com). You don't need to figure it out or do anything on that page other than enter my email address and press send. Smiley

Sorry, he won't take your mail (yes, I did change @ and . ... Wink ). It's 1024x768 for the screen resolution, though.

Thanks so much for writing this. WOW! I haven't finished it yet, but I second Rikka. Jealous! (But in a good way. Smiley )

@Rikka, your screen size is smaller than mine, and I designed the site for bigger screen resolutions. If I have the chance I'll try and fix it, but sadly it's one of those things where I give a bit here and take a bit there and it'll end up looking wrong to at least one person. Sad

@Lola, you're welcome! Actually I found it really useful to write this stuff up just for my own peace of mind. It's not only useful for remembering it all, but to process the amount of info. There was just so much to take in all at once. Because we only got half hours for breaks and one hour for lunch, we were basically going from session to meet/greet to session to meet/greet, etc. So it was a very long few days of full-on puppetry. It also wasn't as good as the UNIMA festival I went to in 2008, but then there was more international performances and far more hands-on workshops to attend (plus it went for 2 weeks vs. this one which was 4 days).

By the way, I’ve made a few small updates to the summit diary entries. Three updates for the cabaret evening: a video of the performance by Gary Friedman, which I discovered was online; pictures that I decided to upload despite being blurry; and an explanation of one of the short sketches presented that night which I forgot to include.

I think I have seen the paper puppets on YouTube before, and they are really great. I wish the sound was a bit better, it doesn't do the play justice.

Yes, it's much better in real life. (As with most puppet shows)

Yes, inspirational it was. There were also lots of moments when I thought "boring", but that's mostly because I don't like sitting still all day Wink

@Rikka I think I've fixed the problem now - please check and let me know. It will still be a little squished, but it's the best I can do without severely mucking up the layout for bigger screen sizes.
