This guy's work is doing the rounds on tumblr - He's an amazing illustrator and his puppets are equally reflective of his artistic talent. If anything, I've been inspired!

Heads up, the Cheshire Cat is now complete and up on Etsy!
I wish I had the disposable income to spend on him, but just looking at him he is totally gorgeous and a massive inspiration for what I planto do later in the year. It gives me some gratification that there's money in artmaking yet!

I paticularly like the incorporation of buttons to attach the arms, as opposed to doll/bear joints, sewing. or snaps. Check him out here - http://www.etsy.com/listing/104369596/cheshire-cat-marionette

That's a fair whack of disposable income! It really is a stunningly beautiful piece though.

Well, but I really hope he gets this money. After all he's really done a piece of art. (And van Gogh -for example- didn't get HIS moneys worth in his time. Shame, really).

I checked on him the other day and in just 2 weeks he sold for $850! Now /that/ gives me hope as an artist and as a puppet builder.

So, I suppose his puppets will be very expensive, don't they?
What do you think?
I havent sold any one still, snif.. I'm considering offering myself as puppeteer in birthdays, at least till I'll sell some of my puppets, I can¡t go longer building more, if they're gonna stay home!
