Hi,
I am fairly new to the puppet world, I would like to ask for some advice on the puppet I want to make. She will be called Peace, and she will be large, about 3/4 life size. She will be a rod puppet, that will have a trigger mechanism for the mouth and eyelids. In some parts of the show she will split in half however, and I plan to connect the two halves with magnets when necessary. She will have bird wings instead of arms and a dress that is made of 'feathers' with a deep cleavage. I would like to find a way to be able to blow up the chest (like a bird might do) at certain parts of the show. If you have any advice on how I might do that or more generally on how the two halves might work with these various mechanisms inside it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Anastasia

Sounds like my templates could help. I made several models for 3d-printable bird head bases - you can find those at thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/Tioh/designs
My puppet resources are listed at http://puppet.tioh.de/
