I can see your delima around keeping things dry while arriving to a show.....I know rain live in Vancouver, BC.....we know rain......and I dare anyone to challenge me on it.

I see the delima around using the trailer as part of the show but it will be all wet and most places won't let you bring in soaking wet items for safety (people will slip on tiles if they are wet.  I have a link to a way you could use the storage boxes as a stage.....here is a link and this might get you thinking in another way.......

I could not find the step by step of making this stage in the next three links....mainly everything fits back into those boxes at the end they are very sturdy and nice......

Here is the link to the blog....they have at least 4 blogs on the go one of them showed how they put it together bit by bit.....I really like this set up a lot.

Hopes this helps......

Thats a real clean setup there.  Looks very lightweight and modular.  I can see how the stage uses the rolling cases as a base.  That's good inspiration.

It's been a while since I've seen the Johnson brothers do a show, but they're quite an impressive duo.

The outside of a foam puppet is easy to take care, you could go as far as to scotch guard them too if needed, but what you need to look out for is moisture on the inside of the puppet. This is where your mildew is going to grow.

Here in Holland we have car you can put behind your bike that are like tailers behind the car. I have a linke here I hope it works. It's possible to make something like that your own.

I hope you will understand but this is my idea...........

You can make yourself an advancement which is near a travelling box, with lid. This box you can use to put everything in when you are traveling. If you lift the lid put sticks between the lid and the bottom of the car, you have the outside of a theatre. You can make curtains, fixed that to the theater and you have your own dry theater.
