Re: Dream project almost done Posted by TygerMin on Aug 30, 2016
Such a wide range of videos doesn't really promote something that is subscriber friendly.  Depending on tags, I may see an increase of views when I post a video trying out spray paint art versus a video where I review a movie.  However, for each week the plan is to start off with an intro video discussing what I will be doing and end the week with a recap video where I talk about the experiences I tried.

For example, the first week intro is here:

Now, I admit that I have a lot of work for screen presence but that is partly due to fear.  I have all these ideas in my head, all these things that I want to try, but I am a socially awkward introvert who struggles with follow through.  If something gets hard, like most ideas do, then I want to run away.  This show's real purpose, at least for me, is to push my boundaries and force me out of a comfort zone.  It will also create some unique and fun memories and experiences.  The second purpose, I hope, is to encourage others to do the same.

I watched your intro, You do not seem like an introvert to me at all.  You have a lot of personality.  You are the kind of out front person I would like in front of my puppet stage. "Trying New Things" (TNT) I get that, curiosity and exploration.  Maybe it would be interesting to group similar new things together in a theme per week.  If topic is interesting to you then your enthusiasm can make it interesting to others. You are right it will evolve so maybe it is good that it is broad now so that you can let it take you the direction that it was meant to go.

I understand the introversion. It doesn't mean that you can't do absolutely amazing work out front, only that it is very resource-intensive, and therefore, exhausting. The urge to run away is something to which I can certainly relate.

All I can do is encourage you to press on. The talent is there. Just prepare to take naps afterward, lol.

Thanks   Now I just need to get that guy out in front of people.  While it is easier to do stuff online and in front of camera, I still fight fear and doubt which intensifies in person.  Which is weird, I am an AGM of a museum gift shop and deal with people all day.  And I once was a tour guide at a mammoth site.  It makes no sense.

Much better wording than "I want to"!  Might steal that :D

Yes!  Very difficult to explain, but that nails it.

Thank you!  Pushing forward even though I question it daily.

My puppets challenged me to a game of slither.io

Puppets take the screen at 2:25.  I played fully as them, meaning my dominant hand was working the mouth, and I used the mouse with their furry hand.  Was fun and difficult :D

Attempted having 6 puppets sing to me.  Started with green screen, but had to scrap that when I realized that I shot the green eyed alien wrong.  After who knows how many hours of work on it, I cheated :D

You seem to have managed the green screening OK   Keep it up.

Thanks   That was fun! Planning on doing more :D  Yeah, since I have to film Edgaaar with the background, I have to figure out where to place him so the other puppets don't overlap him in editing.
Re: Dream project almost done Posted by pagestep007 on Sep 17, 2016
You may have to use a blue or bright orange or red or any other color than green, for Edgaaar ,but for group shots you may have to think about patching the holes, (using Blender perhaps.) Track an eyeball, and then parent a mask on a patch from the original footage, to the track. It can be done. It's just extra work.
