Meet Penelope
Penelope was my first time trying out the "Glorified Sock Puppet Pattern"
She was made to the pattern, and I added a piece of foam in the upper head that I patterned and glued in to the mouth foam. I also used the hand pattern to create a single layer of foam to fill out the hands. Her arms are lightly filled with long scraps of the body material.
Penelope was made from a "fur" type material I found at the fabric store. Her mouth fabric and eyelids are non-sheen Antron. I made her eyes out of craft foam that was sanded down for a smoother finish.

Rumpelstiltskin is My Name
I had the privilege of building and performing a 5' full bodied puppet as the title character in Shenandoah Conservatory's Production of "Rumpelstiltskin is My Name". These are production photos from the play.
