No its CG I painted the textures. If you like I can send you a wire frame of it. I wish I had a real full size one that would rock. Or even a puppet size one!!!

LOL!

I did begin to wonder... it originally looked CG to me... then under further inspection it started to look real.... must be going mad!

Maybe I could 'borrow' your TARDIS for brief shots in my film 'muppet cutaway' perhaps - that'll be cool, or give it a title sequence debut. :p

I've been doing a few title sequence tests which can be seen on my youtube channel at www.youtube.com/damproductions

This project is not dead.

I have collaborated with Dr Puppet of 99 Acre fame to give me a hand with the head pattern of which I hope to produce something soonish!

Look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Re: DOCTOR WHO with Puppets Posted by DrPuppet on Apr 25, 2008
David I have just got back in town from the funeral have you had a chance to play with those patterns yet?
Re: DOCTOR WHO with Puppets Posted by David on May 24, 2008
Not as yet as previously mentioned. Though I am building up to spending more time on the script though would love the input of others regarding direction. The film isn't intended to achieve much, just the filming experience with puppets, did do some puppet work many years ago for college... maybe I should put that online to share... hmm.
Re: DOCTOR WHO with Puppets Posted by David on Jun 06, 2008
Not much has developed on this project to be honest, I've been having some problems at home and thus haven't quite had the inspiration to continue. Though I have been winging some ideas into the script of which I will upload the latest version and ask opinions, hey, I might even complete the script and see if anyone likes or dislikes it.

A copyright issue was pointed out to me in a version of this thread at Muppet Central, namely the use of copyrighted material featuring the Muppets. Now, I know in Doctor Who land, clips from the show are forbidden but still appear on youtube and never/hardly get removed, some forums disown and remove links to such videos, namely www.doctorwhoforum.com but are hardly touched by the superiors.

I am taking the risk that Disney will not touch me, since there are loads of muppet clips on youtube and sites etc and thus my final film 'Muppet Cutaway' will be available for free download from my website and on youtube/dailymotion.

Anyways, nothing has been done with DrPuppet's gorgeous head patterns but I will get something done soonish, I'm building up confidence since I don't have perfectionist enthusiasm to produce something I will need to make again and waste materials, I want it to be right the first time.

(which might be the reason I haven't made a puppet in a few years... :p)

I thought the thing about coptright was as long as you didn't make any money off the project then you were find to do it....thats how the one guy who's doing new Star trek episodes on the net is able to do it without paramount tearing him up.  At least thats how all these fan story sites explain it, of course I am just paraphrasing...

However, I am no lawyer by any means...LOL!

People don't usually take the time to go after you if you are not making any money and they are not losing money.  but copyright laws make it illegal to use anyones intelectual property without their permission.  Some exceptions arise when the project is education related but other than that there aren't many exceptions.  the reason why most people don't get in trouble is because its just not worth the time and energy for the people to protect their intellectual property.
Re: DOCTOR WHO with Puppets Posted by DrPuppet on Jun 06, 2008
Yeah David I think you will be fine with that. Although Disney has been know to clamp down hard on people but usually only if its a money issue.
