Hi John,
great puppet. And a nice construction.
Is it possible to show us a video of the movements? Keep up the good work.

John,
Is the short piece in the lower jaw of the puppet then the long piece up in the head? I am not sure how you are using this. I really like the idea of using Lego joints though. It had never occurred to me. Does Lego have a radial joint?

yer short piece in the jaw long piece up into the head. you have to make a hole in the head and put a small pipe in the hole so that the lego moves smoothly.
The joint in the photo goes in a 360 direction.

I can not understand how the mechanism for open the mouth works. I guess you activate it by pullin the wire upwards isn' it?
If that is the case, the vertical Lego rod goes up and what else? How are the Lego pieces attached tho the mouth?
An alternative method to control the opening and closing of the mouth could be, If the mandibula weighs enough to "open" freely, perhaps you can try to use a black thread from the front part of mandibula to front part of maxila, crossing the palate and after crossing "the brain", leaving the head using the hole you made for the Lego rod.
Something like in the diagram. I know it is not very good, but these are my skills wiht Paint. If the inside of the mouth is black, the thread should not be seen

Johian I really like your marionnette. It great

Grtjs Johan
Translation: the intension of the marionettes is that they participate in a play for kids of the age of 4-7 years.
But I still have a long way to go. In mai we will perfome Kleine Sofie and the money will be donated to do reseach to find a cure against cancer.
PS busy working to make the dragon son. Soon pictures.

Hi friends,
I've been working on the dragon with the moving mouth. Here are some pics... you know, when you begin to chance things that look nice, you want to have the three dragons to have it. So now they all can move their feet but it's possible that all three will be able to 'speak'.
Enjoy.
Sincerely Johan
