You are the greatest! Unbelievable. I am running out of superlatives here!

I like him!  I want to point out to others the line going between his antennae. This is to keep the control strings from getting caught up in them. Same concept can be used in other places. I've even seen it between fingers on some puppets although it is rare that you would need it there.

Thx, indeed Shawn, I've placed a line between the antennae to keep the control strings free. Once we had to put them between fingers of a marionette  - the puppet had to do difficult movements and the strings were always strangled.
Thx Rikka and Billy.

Hi friends,

since a week we have started the rehearsals. For the soundtrack I'm adding now some pieces of music and sounds. It's big fun to see the play is coming to its endstage.
Here some pics. Johan

Fantastic!  I love the image of the dragon in the tower... so much character!
Re: Building my first marionnette Posted by johian on Feb 01, 2012
Rikka: thx, feels good to hear you like it.
Billy: thx, I'll invite you and will send you a ticket for "the première"
Shawn: thx, I love also the sight of the dragon in the tower, it's great to see him moving around with his head down toward the knights (still making them). Every time we rehears we find other movements that make the play more beautiful. I think you know what I mean... probably you had it too when you made new shows.

Great work as always! So I'm guessing that the blue ant you did is none other than Flick from Disney/PIXAR's A Bug's Life. Great stuff!! Keep up the great work!
Re: Building my first marionnette Posted by johian on Feb 04, 2012
Thx Puppetainer, the ant is no one else but Flick, my favourite from Bug's life. Johan
