He really looks great!  The children in the class will love him and soon he will be a very important part of the classroom.  They will have to take class pictures with him included!!

You could even find a plain shirt for the first showing and then she can remove it and dress him up as she wishes.  I would hate to have him exposed on his first showing in front of the class.

Peruvian Boy

I decided that you were right, he did need some clothes.  Well I tried to raid my kids clothes but couldn't find anything that fit so I decided to make something.  Just a simple t-shirt.  Well it turned out well enough that I think I'll add it to the pattern set I will be offering.

Thanks

He turned out great.

I could be, possibly, more excited about you presenting this puppet as you maybe.  I love the T-shirt and glad to hear that you may add the pattern to your instructions....that will be a nice bonus.

Thanks for sharing and please take pictures and share when you present him.

Well this puppet now has a name, Juan Pancho and he is a helper in a children's spanish class.  I ended up having to deliver him directly to its new owner and so didn't get to see the children's first reaction to him.  But this past weekend I did get to meet the class and the children and their parents love the puppet.  One of the girls makes sure that when she comes to class she first finds Juan Pancho and gives him a kiss.  I really like the way Ruth dressed him up, it really makes him look even more latino.

Billy, Daryl, Tsu, Miguel - thanks for your kind comments.  He turned out really well and its great to see that he is so well loved and is put to such great use.  Knowing that one of my puppets is helping to teach children to get along better in this world is very satisfying.
