When drawing the pattern for shirts, an easy way to draw the ease, exactly parallel to the body pattern is to use a washer.
Just put the washer next to the foam pattern (before having glued it), a pen in the hole of the washer and draw along the foam. You will have a parallel line as separated from the foam as the width of the washer. Fishing line or surgical tape reels are very good for this.

There is also a program called proposter to re-size images. It has a free evaluation  version. Using this version you will see the text "evaluation version" or something like that, but it would not be a problem for drawing patterns

ProPoster looks interesting.  I thought folks might like the link to the program.

It does look like pretty cool software you will have to give us a review puppet lady.

I usually end up altering larger clothes down so the head fits easily through the neck opening.  opening.

To solve the problem of having a very large neck opening, I dress my puppets by putting the body through the neck opening, never putting the garment over the head. Just fold the body in half lengthwise, with the arms in the center, insert through neck hole. Then all you do is put the arms in the sleeves. Saves wear and tear on the puppet head and hair.

That makes perfect sense Sue.

I tried the software.  It's not what I thought it would be.  I didn't play with it long because I have work I need to stop avoiding.  From what I saw, it takes a photo or image and blows it up so it can be printed in a larger size.  I'm not sure it has any creation from scratch capabilities.
