hopefully your sewingmachine will not break like mine did last night
Re: First puppet ever by tsu (in progress) Posted by tsu on Nov 10, 2008
so now you have to take it to the service and your work will be delayed due to those circumstances? :/

but, huh, I've taken a manual, read it and.... put on the side. ;P
I don't think I will start to do this today. I'm afraid of this monster with a needle!

Tsu

A sewing machine is much like driving a car. Just put your foot on the pedal and make you sure you stay in a straight line. If you don't the puppet police might arrest you, seriously......... just thread your machine per your manuals directions. Get a scrap piece of fabric and sew fowards and backwards. Play with the different settings checking your manual as to what they do. Try folding fabric to see how thick it will sew and practice setting your tension. Don't forget we are always here to help.

Doc.......................  Don't tell me you had a sewing machine blow out. As much as you have used it . I'm sure it was sooner are later going to need a check up. Hope it is nothing serious.

Thanks Billy I hate modern machines...probabaly my age...but I have an old dressmaker I use all the time from the early 70's. It will never run out. The old girl just needs a tune up. I also have an Elna from 1959 but as its hard to get parts now for her I mainly keep her boxed up. I like my machines made of 'metal". Oh well I will be back up in no time!

Billy, I know, I know you're always in here.
You know, I'm even afraid to putting the thing together. I mean: when I saw a manual and that stuff about some bobbins, reeling the thread around something, threading lower and upper bobbin........ jeez. Hope it just seems so horrible on the paper, hehe.

Jay, that's good you managed to finish your sewing before you girl died... eer, I mean, fell asleep for a moment. :P

Billy, thanks :D I'll try to figure things out with this monster and if I'll meet any problem, I contact you :P

I'm afraid of pressing a pedal I know it's for sewing speed and believe me, sometimes I have a "heavy foot" syndrome and I would not be able to control that speed - I put my foot on it, press it too hard and I don't even notice when I'll be sewing the carpet too because my fabric will be finished for a long time :D hah, joking

BTW, my beloved guys... have you got any pattern for... foot? I've got my 'Foam Book' in my hands now and there is written I can use a 'panel' method, so for sure I'll be experimenting with it too, buuuuutttt........
Re: First puppet ever by tsu (in progress) Posted by Billy D. Fuller on Nov 10, 2008

could you please send me yours? I'll be grateful.
