I just wanted to share a find to you all.......

I was in my usual fabric shop wondering around and looking (50% off almost everything holiday sale) and came upon an item called "cloth buttons."  They might be a great idea for noses for puppets and they come in many sizes from very small to really large and the price is really reasonable.  I got three different sizes.....in case I need something like it for future puppets.  The great thing about them is you use any material to cover this metal half sphere and you snap in the other piece to secure.  See pictures....... 







They seem to come from a European country because it has an English and an unfamiliar language (my guess would be German...but I may be way off) on the package.  They are easy to use and would be cute to use on a puppet.  I took pictures of the package both sides and then one of them on there own.

We have them here as Well................  and I have thought the same thing but didn't want to pay the price. Strange I just got a email that my fabric store is having 50 % sale on fabric and notions.

I've used those in upholstry and garment sewing.   They are available at most fabric stores.  Using them for puppets is a unique idea I hadn't thought of.  Hmm.

Those look just like the blank buttons I put into my button press. O_o Like, pin buttons. Same basic principle, too, which makes me wonder if I could do this with the blanks I already have....

I have used water bottle caps (free and abundant) , and plastic cherries I found in the clearance bin before.
