The eyes are just plastic spoons painted with a black sharpie, I learned that here.

I just noticed this image in the Gallery.

I like how you did the mock up before you actually built the "real" parts.  I quite often do this and think it really helps.  I just wanted to point out the example to folks. Did you actually use the base for your fins that are in your Gallery album or did you end up going with something else?  If so what did you cover the bases in?
