New to making puppets. I found the tuterial to make the melonhead puppet. So I made some for my grandchildren. They love them. So I am hooked on making more. Like everyone else I am looking for free patterns. I thought I might learn more from people that are more experienced than I and have enjoyed reading the posts. Looking forward in getting to know you all more.

Welcome to puppets and stuff.  There are a few free patterns out there.  several are listed in a thread here in the forum and I've list some that I like on my blog, Bashful Puppet Blog.

And you're right, I built my puppet just one year ago and I've found that it is something I just don't want to stop doing.

Hi, I'm fairly new to this site and I absolutely love it.  The talent and camaraderie is amazing.  I became interested in puppet making in 1995 and continue to make them today.  I've learned what I know from the puppet community's wealth of knowledge.  Thank you for sharing.

I've found the same thing, people here are very nice and helpful.  Hope to see some pictures of your creations.
