A neat little invention I made recently and have turned into a product. This is a blacklight shadow puppet. So you can use it with a normal shadow screen, and see the handpainted wing designs, or you can use it in a blacklight performance… because the paints fluoresce! Thanks for the compliments! I got the idea from a google search that popped up my site - thought it would make for a good experiment, and it worked!

What did you use for the white. Is it paint or paper?

The white is cardboard. I laid the cardboard inside the laminating pouch, and painted the pouch inside the hollow of the wings. It was a little tricky, because I didn't know if it would work in the laminator or not, but it was fine.

Great job.....I really love the idea on how you mixed two mediums in one puppet....what a brilliant idea and really well executed.

Na. that is a wonderful butterfly.  You have a real talent for stretching the possibilities of shadow puppetry.

Yeah, you are really good and professional on shadow puppets (Good enough in this branch of puppetry).

Good to know that people can develop in this field many different branches, but same tree at the same time (I'm talking in this case about the talents).

I have to admit, these comments boost my ego a little. A few days ago I accidentally put my latest shadow puppet into the laminating machine the wrong way around and it got stuck; ruining two days worth of work.... The compliments help remind me that accidents happen, and to keep at it.
