Until now the eyes still tend to fall out when I try to sit her up. And for the intestines I'll have to use the next, since I really had to glue up my prototype as soon as I could.

That sounds like a great feature, if only you meant for it to happen. I'd love to see more puppets with weird and wonderful mechanisms, and I imagine eyes that fall out would make for a good halloween puppet. (Ah, so many ideas, so little time!)

I will. It's just that I put the glas eyes in with a airdrying clay (didn't feel too hot about putting glaseyes in the oven), that's why. It usually takes a couple of days- I can hardly wait.
Maybe one could add a spring inside the head to make the eyes popp?

Springs are a good idea, but then you might find it hard to control the direction of the eyeline. (But it would be cool to try!)

For now I don't think I will try something fancy like moving eyes. I tried that with my prototype and failed spectacularly. I think I'll rather build some more puppets like this one and then move on.

I understand completely. I did a couple of blinking eye mechs and had no end of problems with them.
