Hi, my name is Amanda and I am from Milwaukee, WI.  I am a graduate of the UW-Whitewater theatre dept and have several years of professional theatre experience including costume design and construction, backstage crew (stage and dressing), and some stagecraft.  I became interested in puppets when I was asked to design costumes for a theatrical production that featured puppets designed and created by Dan Katula.  I bought myself some supplies for Christmas and am about to make my first puppet using this pattern:

I have read the Foam Book and watched numerous videos of people building all kinds of puppets and decided to jump in and build something before I risk becoming a puppet poseur.  Wish me luck!
