My Latest Builds - Crayon Puppets C: Posted by Gabriel G on Jan 04, 2009
Hello All~!
It's been awhile since I post but I'm sure most of you remember me asking for ideas and help with the construction of some crayon puppets. Well the performance swept by on New Year's Eve and I was busy like mad building the puppets!
Unfortunately, I procrastinated a bit so the overall look and feel of the puppets did suffer as I built them ALL in one week. I decided not to make hair for any of them since I knew it'd take away time. I wanted to focus on getting the characters done! The eyes were literally made and glued 20 minutes before show time. I had to get my mom to cut them and she's not very experienced with using blades! I also had to rush glue them in which is why their focus is slightly off sometimes. I even had to glue together the Queen's crown because someone mishandled her and her crown broke into various little pieces! Ahhh the adrenaline rush from crunch time! And There is one more puppet left to be photographed but I wanted to fix him up before posting him.
Even so, I'm thrilled with my results and thought I'd like to share them with you all here, your advice was helpful and so much appreciated! Please comment and feedback! If you have any questions as well feel free to ask away C:

Despite them not looking exactly how you wanted - or being rushed - I think they are
They're all great, but my favourite is... actually on looking at them again, I can't choose. They're all awesome! Was the performance well received?

I realize you were pushed for time and apologize that I did not get back to you with your order, my monitor crashed shortly after I recieved your PM.
Overall I think the eyes you have chosen look better than the domes.
You did a jam up job on the crayons. They all have great character. Thank you for sharing the pictures with us.
