Hello! Posted by The Lady on Jan 06, 2009
I am a novice puppeteer and am interested in learning more. I look forward to checking out the forum further.

My puppet's name is Fillup Munkee. http://www.fillupmunkee.com/ He has a podcast in iTunes through Blip.tv, a Facebook.

I have been searching for a puppet maker to duplicate him as I have had no luck finding another like him online. I have contacted one puppet maker online but have not heard back and thought this might be a great place to find someone with the talent and creativity to construct one. Can anyone here help me in this regard?

I will search the forum to see if there is a more appropriate place for this kind of question; however, I did want to introduce myself as well.  So hello!

"HEY LAAAAAAADY"

Welcome to P&S!

ok...he's tooooo cute.

Being a hand puppet, I'm sure someone here can duplicate him.

If I was to duplicate him for you, he'd have a 5 o'clock shadow, bags under his eyes, hungover and he'd be 3 feet tall.

I wish you luck in your search.

Friends,
Sonny

Welcome to Puppets and Stuff.  Fillup!!! what a great looking little guy!!! So cute, with a fun personality.

My experience in puppet building is a little limited and isn't in the direction of making a puppet like Fillup.  That being said, I believe that there are a few puppet builders that frequent P&S that might be able and interested in reproducing him for you.

Can't wait to hear more about you puppetry

Jon

BTW you've got a very nice looking web page.

Welcome to Puppets and Stuff. I just love Fillup, full of life for such a little fellow. Are you wanting a hand in mouth puppet or to duplicate him just as he is? I'm sure others will be along and you will find the perfect person for this task. Have you thought of building it yourself?

Thank you very much for your responses and warm welcome!  And I appreciate your comments about Fillup as I am clearly a novice and while I have learned some things, in no way do I have the skills, talent or knowledge you all have.

I hope someone can duplicate him. I am saving for it.

Thank you! And to answer you questions, I had only thought of getting another just like him in the face, but maybe longer in body length for better ease of framing shots. I had not thought of duplicating him myself after looking at a few sites and seeing what goes into the process. It seems like it would take substantial learning and skills that I doubt I have the time to acquire, though it is interesting.

Thanks for your encouragement and I hope there is someone. After paging around here it's clear that this community is an awesome collection of creative people.

Do you know who manufactured fillup or does he have a tag on him?

I was wondering the same thing Billy.  Although I bet that even if he still has the tag that the company is no longer producing him.

I am willing to build you a new puppet  Lady but I would need some clean shots of Fillup with good detail.  Front, back and profile images should do it.  I think I already have a good idea of how he is made but images well let me confirm some things.

Cool, getting a puppet made from Shawn. I'd take him up on that one. awesome!
