I started wood carving since last year as a hobby, and know i want to take it to the next level...and build some marionette and dummies...

Hello Juiced, welcome and glad that you took the time to sign up with us.  I just returned from a trip to South America I started in Reo Dej Jenario (sp?) I went around the tip up the other side and ended at Seirego, Chile.  I don't think that I spelt the names right, anyways it was a great experience.  I don't do carving I use foam and fabric as my medium at this stage.  We would love to see some pictures of your work if possible.  I hope you enjoy your summer unlike us Canadians it is winter here.

Welcome to Puppets and Stuff.  We have some very experienced marrionette builders and I'm sure that they will be able to give you whatever help you need.  I can't wait to see what you build.

We have some other members of the forum that are from Brazil as well.  I know that Brazil is a very large country but perhaps you'll be able to get in contact with them.
