Yep, international shipping is a nightmare. It costs so much to ship things that are very light too, which is ridiculous!

Just out of curiosity, since the "new" antron comes in two weights, will Puppet Mart ever make the 14 oz available since people are saying it's better for puppets than the 12 oz?

I have no experience with "original" antron, but the only drawback I can see with the new stuff is that it leaves glittery fuzzies all over the place when cutting and working with it. That's not a complaint, but I have noticed that it makes quite a mess compared to other materials. It also seems to take dyes really well! Puppet Mart has a nice selection of premixed skin-tone dyes that are reasonably priced. I've purchased several and used them to dye fleece I bought from them and was very happy.

Is there nowhere that anyone can find original antron? I'm hyper-curious to see the difference for myself!

The original antron was available in 12oz and 14oz. My understanding is that for a limited time there was a 14oz version of the current antron, but kinda fell apart (someone correct me if I am wrong). Whatever the case was the 14oz  new antron was just not working. It is no longer available.

The only way to find original antron, that I'm aware of, is on puppets made with it.

I think you are right Matt. Unless someone fines a stash of it in some warehouse there is no longer any of the original Antron.

How can you tell the difference with the original antron? I have some fleece here which I bought a while ago now. It is quite thick compared to the new antron and more fuzzy.

How long ago did you buy it?  I think it has been at least a couple years since the old Antron was manufactured.  It could be it is the 14oz new Antron.

I personally like the newer stuff more than the older stuff.....even though the new stuff does not cover the seems as well....it does not get sooooo fuzzzzy with lots of handling.  At times you had to shave it down if it got to fuzzy....the new stuff you don't need to worry about that.

I bought the stuff a few years ago off a woman who made mascot costumes. I think she had it a while before then. Ive never used it because it has piled and doesnt have the nice clean finish the new antron has.
