Kopykake Airbrush Compressors Posted by Sonny on Feb 05, 2009
Hi Gang,
I just wanted to pass on some good Karma from a company that made latest compressor.
I do alot of airbrushing on my puppets and do have many tool/accessories backups that I keep just in case.
Once my Paasche compressor decided to work half as hard as it used to, I switched to a compressor called the Airmaster Plus from the Kopykake company. Quiet, consistant pressure and really easy to use. I have been using this for about 8 months. I bought it at a resale shop for around 50 buckaroonies. As soon as I turned it on, I was impressed with the quiet hum it emitted, sounded sort of like a Gregorian monk chanting. I dig Gregorian chanting, it's quite mesmerizing, but anyway. I plugged my compressor in today and proceeded to work on a contract puppet.
"Pop" ,...My compressor farted out. I didn't know what caused this. Not panicking, I looked up the site and contacted the support dept. I figured If I was lucky I might get an answer in about a week. 10 minutes later A man named Rudy from Kopykake called me and knew exactly what I needed to do. Wowsers!! Quicker than microwaving a frozen burrito, I had it fixed and was up and running again.
That's service! Total profession service. They have won me over not only with their quiet and smooth running compressor, but with their awesome service and communication.
If your looking for a user friendly compressor, Look to Kopykake. http://www.kopykake.com/cd_compressor_airmaster.html
If the price is out of your range, try to pick one up on ebay. They are there.
I didn't even know these are made for cake decorating. Now all my Twinkies can be airbrushed...hooha!
Kudos,
Sonny

I love a happy ending Sonny - especially when it doesn't cost anything extra. Thanks for your recommendation and sharing your good experience.

A very compressing story with good ending. I've used the cake decorating units and they are nice.
Thanks for the link.

Sonny,
Are you still using this type of compressor? What type or brands of paints do you use? I want to start airbrushing, so there are so many options.
Anyone else have any suggestions?
