Puppetry Summer Abroad Intensive for Advanced Training or Humanities Credit! Posted by ye211 on Feb 15, 2009
This summer from June 28-August 8, 2009, NYU will be hosting their first ever puppetry summer-abroad intensive in performance training at their Temple Bar campus in Dublin, Ireland. This course is monumental for many reasons, including there are so few places for young professionals to study puppetry, it is an opportunity to study abroad and get course credit either in advanced studio training or humanities, and while the economy is in recession and most everyone is downsizing NYU has chosen to open the pilot version of this new program and try something new, experimental, and creative. This course is going to be an opportunity unlike any other and I hope each of you will take a quick look at the information below and also send the information on! To puppetry!
Sincerely,
Yvette Edery
Puppeteer and Puppetry Instructor, Tisch NYU

Sounds like a great opportunity. I wish I was 35 years younger and in college.

Oh man this has got to be the coolest study abroad experience ever available!
I just wish I'd checked this out sooner, now it's impossible to get an application in on time.

Maybe next time they offer it I'll be ready. c: I wish the best of luck to those that do make it.

Hey gdub106 why don't you email them and see if they are still accepting applications.....with the economic issues they may not have gotten a great response and open to late applications.

Just a thought......never hurts to ask the worst they can say is "No".
