This summer from June 28-August 8, 2009, NYU will be hosting their first ever puppetry summer-abroad intensive in performance training at their Temple Bar campus in Dublin, Ireland. This course is monumental for many reasons, including there are so few places for young professionals to study puppetry, it is an opportunity to study abroad and get course credit either in advanced studio training or humanities, and while the economy is in recession and most everyone is downsizing NYU has chosen to open the pilot version of this new program and try something new, experimental, and creative. I am the creator of this course as well as the primary teacher.
