HYA sonny I heard of SOE a ways' back...
I was in EID and LFF before.....COD4, R6 V2, JO:E, BHD, rtc.

white one: SGT PAPER....hastily assembled w/o plans..Index cards, staples, nylon string and plastic.

blue one: WAN FANG....colored posterboard, wire, wicker, acrylic paint.

DIGI-Camo Soldiers: in process ....foam, tie wraps, pipe cleaners, tape and fabric from actual deployed
brother U.S. soldier from Iraq/Afghanistan.

all strung with clear light fishing line.

joints and controllers not the best. I have to redo the joints on some areas.

if permissable:  search- planetsloan on youtube to see sample video.

Thank you for your comments everyone I feel welcomed. I have had art training and built several
paper mache marionettes many years ago under supervision in New York.

Here now; when Im not conjuring auditions as an actor; I make short digital films and see it
as a learning process. I love good puppet acting...and want to fulfill this project.
Spring or Summer I plan on a Medieval Knights puppet film if I dont get too busy. Hope to improve on
the mechanics. I use found materials collected during my convalescence at a facility that houses
Combat Veterans who are awaiting pension/awards/treatment.

Cool test video!  Did you realize that you can embed YouTubes here?

Since you are using lightweight materials you may want to add some weight to you your puppets. The areas you would want to add some weight would be pelvis for center of gravity of puppet and perhaps in hand and feet to give you a bit more control over them.  I really do like what you have done so far!  It is very ingenious..... More please!

Love the video - I watched with the sound off, and to me it looks like a great puppet for hip hop music or something

Ok.... I am not sure I get it, but it was intriguing.  I must say that was one of the "artsiest" war films I have ever seen.   Great editing on the video and the voices where really good... did you do them all?  Keep up the good work.

Just so others know... it does contain harsh language.
