Snowy Sock puppet Posted by Bhanu on Feb 22, 2009
Hi ,

I just finished my first sock puppet..Snowy. I was cleaning my father's cupboard
and picked up a pair of white socks (fluffy/ towel material) ...I was contemplating to make
a bunny rabbit first then decided to make a dog...inserted some stitches around the toes
part and under the heel to give a rounded look. Then fixed the eyes & nose. The mouth was fixed last.
Added striped cloth ears to give a smart look!!! Snowy is ready to say bow bow...the pics are different
view of snowy. Generally sock puppet is  popular among  children since it is easy to make. I enjoyed
making this and plan to teach some kids.

Cheers

Great job ! I think I have a litter of them in my bottom dresser drawer. This does inspire me to at least open it up. Maybe I'll get around to making some. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Daryl & Na...ya you can create simple puppets using a sock....I never
realized the potential of this material all these years & felt good with the finished
puppet.

So, funny! The two first puppets I made were with socks (With sponge inside as a head).
That one is so funny!
