I was very happy with the result of using contact cement. Thanks to everyone for helping make that decision. I think it resulted in a much better result than the tests I did with hot glue. My next step is to cover the head in fleece.

Finally finished the head. Eyes, Nose, Hair and mouth have all be completed. I'm not sure if I like the nose. I just stuck felt circles on. I might redo this puppets head at a later date with accented facial features. I used my sewing machine to sew the fleece for the head, so there is a seam the runs down it. If I had it to do over I would hand sew instead. I'm still working on desinging a body for him.

Heyyy... I like the small eyes! I hadn't even thought of using small eyes on puppets but they give a different kind of character, don't they?!

Practice makes perfect.................... I agree that hand sewing will do the trick provided you use the correct stitching. I think you are off to a good start.
