I recently watched the blinking eyes toturial from DrPuppet's website. In the video he used eyes that are half spheres about the size of a ping pong ball, that have a doll joint on the back. While I can find the regular animal eyes in local hobby stores I can't find the eyes he used in that video. He states in the video that he purchased them from puppetministry.com, but that website seem to only want to display google search results. Is there somewhere else to purchase this style of eye?

Actually the website is http://www.puppetminister.com/ (instead of "ministry"). I just checked it, and he doesn't currently have the eyes listed. If I were you, I would email him. I just bought some from him, so he may just be out of stock, temporarily.
