Thanks again guys!
@LJ --- ahh, I've got some nice ideas for puppets but I've left my Antron, RitDyes, foam, hotglue, scissors, blades, furs in Poland... I couldn't take them with me due to luggage restrictions on airport... So I have nothing here and I don't think I would have time to build puppets. Here, where I work in England, I've got split shifts and try to take some overtimes between (I'm trying to get money to start postgraduate studies here in the UK... and I have to save money for a horse! ), but, to be honest --- I feel a bit "hollow" now when I'm not making any puppet. I used to it during last few months when I was sitting day by day on gluing or sewing something. When I flight home for a holiday, I'll probably take some stuff back with me. :D
And puppets, business and me? Oh no...
Anyway --- thank you so much for you kind words!
@Toon Asylum - I tried my best, thanks! :D

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I totally agree with everyone else. Wonderful work! Would you go into more detail concerning the cheeks and the mouth movement. Do you have any photos of the process without fleece?

Julie, thank you so much!
I'm afraid I haven't photos you're asking for. Everything I have done was made by trial and error so I was just cutting off and adding on some pieces of foam. I thought it was not worth take photos of. Now I think I was mistaken because it could be helpful for somebody.
What I can say about cheeks and mouth movement is: cheeks are made of 2 halves of a foam ball and then grooved a bit to get them more flexible (full/filled up halves were not). Then I did cut a line fitted to the corners of a mouthplate to give those cuts *look* of an extended mouth. The edges of an upper part of the cheeks/foam balls I glued to the skull (upper lip) and edges of a lower one --- to lower lip BUT I cut a bit off to make that lower part of the cheeks a bit shorter than upper ones.
My Peanut's mouth is movable but not so elastic as Mary Ann's --- I didn't know how to attach cheeks to gain a full operational one, but for *my use* they're completely OK and there is no problem with opening them even though not so wide as Jeff's.
If you would like I can try to draw how I attached cheeks to the skull and both lips. Just let me know and please write if I gave you too little details. I'm eager to share my *experience* (oh yeah, eventually I was making him almost 3 months )

tsu, I appreciate the explaination. I know what you mean about the photos. Most of the time I intend to take them, but get so involved in the process I forget or just don't bother. I am always trying to work on freeing up the mouth movement a little more.
Again, great job!

Oh TSU!!! What can I say that has not already been said. Absolutely brilliant! Fantastic job i could not have done better myself. Wonderful craftsmanship!!
Re: *Peanut* puppet by tsu Posted by tsu on Mar 04, 2009
@Julie, thanks again.
I tried my best on the mouth, I suppose I did the most what I was able to do having lips and cheeks connected that way. They're movable, that's important
@Jay, I suppose you could have done, your craftmanship is perfect! But thank you, it's really inspiring to hear these words from you. :D
PS. I'll try to post some new photos of Peanut soon.
