Hungarian Glove Puppet Posted by Chris Arveson on Mar 03, 2009
100_0024muddlety2 This little fellow was given to me by one of my team mates in Russia. He had found it in a market in Budapest in October.

The label identifies it from a company in Hungary, Babjatek Hand Pets. http://www.handpets.hu/indexe.htm

As you can see, it really is a "glove" puppet. Basically it's simply a glove with an animal head on the middle finger. So simple, and so creative. I love the puppet, to say nothing of the thoughtfulness John showed by thinking of me when he saw it.

Wow ! Simple but what a collectors item. It looks like a donkey. What a great idea...................... that would be a good class for smaller kids. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Chris,

this is realy a nice puppet. I have visited their website and there are a lot of great looking puppets.
Think that when I let my wife see the site there will be a invasion of glovepuppets over here.
She teaches children of the age of 5 years old and loves to work with puppets.
Thx for sharing.
