Kid friendly table top puppet Posted by Na on Mar 16, 2009
I made this as an experiment for my upcoming puppetry classes, and thought I'd make a video of how I did it. It uses all recycled materials, and is good for children. Feel free to use it for your own stuff!

I immediately got lots of ideas after viewing this!  Every time you make one, it could be different and unique.  I love it!

Thanks! Yes, I agree, it's a good thing to make that can have many characters or designs. Really, it would be better with arms though

Na,

Very friendly puppet using waste materials!...the character would
be more vibrant if you had covered the box with simple brown paper.
I liked your idea very much.

Great rainy day activity with kids.......at least all the materials is found around the house.....it is nice to see such ideas to help promote puppetry to the younger generation......thanks for taking the time to make it and help parents to make puppetry more part of there kids lives.

I agree, if I had the time I would have painted or decorated the puppet a bit more. The video is a re-build of a puppet I improvised from some materials around the house. I really focused on just figuring out if it was possible to build, rather than character or 'prettiness'.
