I think you have a great start there.  I think it felt and looked pretty professional despite what some of the folks where committing. I do think you can learn from what they had to say depending on what the target audience is supposed to be for these episodes.  I do think that the voices need some development but that well come.  They are real close to each other and to classic Muppet voices.  I think that is why you get the "cute" comment so often.  Now if that is what you are after then you are right on spot with things.

I think the character will come out more in the next one if we get a chance to make it. For this episode I really wanted to try and just make the tutorial clear. There are a few nasty comments on the youtube page but about 90% of the comments are extremely positive and want more. We will see how well it does over the next week but in less than 24 hours it has over 3000 views.

You know the fact that it has over 3000 views tells you something.  I do hope you wont' let the negative comments get you down.  I know that it may seem that I was reinforcing some of them with my last comment but I really did not mean that.  I was just trying to point out that often negative comments can give you some insight into where you can change things.

I really did enjoy the spot and hope they do more.  I know there was one comment about not being able to see because of the puppets hands... I actually thought that was pretty good and was impressed.

I think it's a really interesting concept to do a show like this for a site like Threadbanger. I'm not surprised by the negative comments unfortunately; this is a little different than what most visitors to Threadbanger are used to. The characters are cute, but the Threadbanger audience may not care about that. More people use that site for the information, more so than to be entertained.

The biggest challenge I see with a concept like this is you're getting puppets to do something that a real live human being is much better at (demonstrating how to make things). I thought you guys did a really good job of working/editing around the limitations of the puppets.

Just checked tonight and the YouTube video has picked up almost 1,500 views since I saw it online earlier in the day. Not too bad!

His mouth closes at the point he is supposed to be saying a word.

It's a common puppeteer error. The tendency is to close the mouth on consonants. You have to think about it, but look at the video again and you'll see what I mean...I think
